North Korean imaging through the Olympics Show Results

North Korea's imaging efforts through the Olympics have succeeded in improving its image among the South Korean people, while the United States gives an indication of a new openness to dialogue.

On Monday (12/2), South Korea's Unification Ministry said the North Korean delegation's visit has opening the door for further cooperation that could help ease recent tensions over Pyongyang's threatening stance and by frequent nuclear and missile executions in the past two years.

"This shows that North Korea is willing to improve relations between South and North Korea. We also believe this suggests that they may take drastic measures that have never been taken if necessary, "said South Korean Unification Ministry spokesman Baik Tae-Hyun.

The Unification spokesman did not explain what he meant by" drastic has never been taken "but Seoul has stated that the goal of the dialogue is to start nuclear disarmament talks between America and North Korea. [gp]

US Win the First Gold Medal at the South Korean Olympics

A teenager has won America's first gold medal at the PyeongChang Olympics.

The 17-year-old Redmond Gerard of Silverthorne, Colorado, in his first Olympic Games, won the men's slope-style snowboarding race.

"My feelings are amazing, "he said after winning. "[I'm] very excited to be a champion and able to advance to the podium to receive a medal … I'm very happy."

In the last race on Sunday (2/2), Gerard won over Max Parrot of Canada, who won silver and Mark McMorris also from Canada, which won its second bronze after Sochi four years ago.

Korea Joint Hockey Team Prime Game at the Olympics

The Korean women's combined hockey team competed on Saturday for the first time in Olympic history.

Kim Yo Jong and Kim Yong Nam have invited President Moon to hold inter-Korean talks in Pyongyang. When the Moon receives it, the meeting will be the third round of talks since the two countries split in 1945.

Although Switzerland massacred Korea 8-0, the historical value of the game was not lost.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Saturday ( 10/2) met with North Korean delegates including Kim Yo-jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Kim Yo-jong was the first member of the North Korean ruling family to visit the South since the end of the 1950 Korean War -1953

He is a senior member of the ruling Workers Party in North Korea and the main adviser of Kim Jong-un.

US Vice President in Pyeongchang Attends the Opening of the Winter Olympics

US Vice President Mike Pence has arrived in Pyeongchang, South Korea, to attend the opening ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Earlier Friday morning (9/2), Pence visited the 2nd South Korean Fleet Command in Pyeongtaek , 70 kilometers south of Seoul, to visit the memorial memorial for the South Korean Cheonan warship, which was drowned in a blast by North Korea. The explosion killed nearly 50 Cheonan crew
